The first Test match between Pakistan and New Zealand is being played in Karachi. Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat first.

Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq were the opening batsmen for Pakistan. Abdullah Shafiq is proving to be a good opener for Pakistan and he has also scored a century in his last series Pakistan vs England. Pakistan’s first wicket fell to a total of 12 runs in which Abdullah was dismissed for runs. Abdullah Shafique got stump out on Ajaz Patel ball.

From Pakistan, the second batting partnership was between Imam-ul-Haq and Shan Masood. Shan Masood scored 3 runs and was dismissed for a total score of 19 runs.

The third batting partnership was between captain Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq. Both partner tried to play a good game. Left arm batsman Imam-ul-Haq scored 24 runs and was caught out on a total score of 48. This wicket was taken by New Zealand bowler Bracewell.

The fourth partnership from Pakistan was between Saud Shakeel and Babar Azam. Saud Shakeel is a rising star from Pakistan. Luck did not favor Saud shakeel in this match and he was caught out on 22 runs. This wicket was taken by Tim Southee.


Fifth Partnership was between Babar Azam and X-Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed. Sarfaraz Ahmed played this first international match on Pakistan soil. You were given this opportunity after a very long time before you were part of the Pakistan team and you were play any match. This match Pakistan vs New Zealand remembered for Sarfraz Ahmed. You performed your duty very well and supported Pakistan’s batting. On other side of the crease, captain Babar Azam showed very good batting and both of them played very well. Sarfraz Ahmed was caught out after scoring 86 runs for a total score of 306 runs.
